Saksham Mission: J&K to get 338, Ladakh 14 upgraded Anganwadis | KNO

Srinagar, Feb 07 (KNO): The Centre has sanctioned 338 Anganwadi Centres in J&K and 14 in Ladakh for upgradation under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0. According to official data available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the upgraded Saksham Anganwadis will feature LED screens, water purifiers, Poshan Vatika (nutrition gardens), and learning materials to enhance services for children and mothers. Under the initiative, aimed at improving nutrition and early childhood care services, 2 lakh Anganwadi Centres across India are being modernized, with 50,000 new centers planned over five years. Also, the government has ordered the upgradation of all mini-Anganwadis to full-fledged centers—(KNO)
